Omani youth are gaining practical experience in small-satellite technology, strengthening their exposure to one of the world’s fastest-growing fields in science and engineering.

The training provides participants with hands-on knowledge of satellite design, space technology and related technical skills, helping prepare a new generation for opportunities in Oman’s emerging space sector.

The initiative supports Oman’s broader focus on STEM education, innovation and future technologies, while encouraging young Omanis to participate in high-tech industries.

Developing local expertise in space technology could also create opportunities for future applications in communications, Earth observation, environmental monitoring and national infrastructure.
