Oman has offered higher education places to 33,031 students in the first admission round for the 2026/2027 academic year, representing 70.4% of successful applicants.

The number of available seats reached 34,113, up 17% from the previous year, while student offers increased by nearly 20% compared with the first admission round of 2025/26.

Government institutions received the largest share with 17,430 offers, followed by domestic scholarships and grants with 14,950 offers.

The expansion highlights Oman’s continued investment in higher education, skills development and preparing young people for the future workforce.
