𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐎 𝟐𝟓𝟖 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟏,𝟕𝟎𝟎𝐌𝐖 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐟𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility has secured an approximately RO 258 million EPC contract to build Oman’s 1,700MW Misfah Combined Cycle Power Plant.

Located around 20 km west of central Muscat, the project is scheduled for completion in April 2029 and will help meet Oman’s growing electricity demand while strengthening grid reliability.

The plant will use advanced combined-cycle technology designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. It is also being designed to support future carbon-capture integration and flexible peak-shaving as Oman increases renewable energy in its power mix.

The project further highlights Oman’s continued investment in energy infrastructure, industrial growth and reliable power generation.
