𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟎 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲

Oman has launched a new National Cybersecurity Strategy for 2026–2030, aimed at strengthening protection of critical infrastructure, improving readiness against cyber threats and supporting the country’s growing digital economy.

The strategy, prepared by the Cyber Defence Centre in cooperation with government and private-sector entities, establishes a national framework for protecting Oman’s cyberspace and ensuring continuity of essential services.

The plan is built around five key pillars: cybersecurity governance, cyber resilience, capacity building and awareness, cyber cooperation, and the cyber economy.

Key priorities include strengthening cyber preparedness, improving institutional response to attacks, developing specialised Omani talent, updating legislation and creating new investment opportunities in cybersecurity.

The strategy also aims to strengthen cooperation between government and businesses while expanding international partnerships to address increasingly sophisticated threats that cross national borders.

Aligned with Oman Vision 2040, the strategy positions cybersecurity not only as a national security priority but also as an emerging economic and technology sector capable of creating local expertise, specialised businesses and investment opportunities.
