The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) is strengthening practical AI skills among its workforce, with its Salalah branch completing a three-day, 15-hour AI training programme for managers, department heads and administrative staff.
The programme covered AI fundamentals, process automation, data analysis, smart dashboards, AI-assisted recruitment, CV screening, performance management and automated meeting minutes, along with AI ethics and information security.
It follows a similar AI programme conducted in Muscat in July for accounting and financial-audit staff, making this part of a broader institutional push rather than a one-off workshop.
The initiative aligns with UTASโs 2026โ2030 strategy, which identifies digital transformation as one of its key strategic pillars.
