𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎-𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐪𝐦

Engineering students across Oman have been invited to take part in a design competition for a landmark 10,000-tree park in Duqm, planned as a sustainable recreational and tourism destination.

The project will cover 400,000 square metres within the Special Economic Zone at Duqm and aims to combine extensive tree planting, landscaping, recreational facilities and community spaces.

The competition is being organised under the 10,000 Trees Initiative by OPAZ in cooperation with Tawteer, with support from the Ministry of Education and Duqm Refinery.

Students are encouraged to develop innovative concepts that respond to the local environment while incorporating sustainable design, green spaces and family-oriented facilities.

Registration is open until September 10, 2026, giving engineering students an opportunity to apply their academic skills to a major real-world urban and landscape development project.
