September 2026 is shaping up to be a busy month for technology, AI, climate innovation, fintech, hospitality and healthcare in Oman, with six major events scheduled across Muscat.
The month begins on September 6 with the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologyโs โEngineer It with Agentic AIโ competition. Twenty-five shortlisted teams will compete for RO13,000 in prizes, highlighting Omanโs growing focus on developing homegrown AI talent.
From September 14โ16, Oman Climate Week at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre will bring together climate experts, businesses and innovators, alongside GreenX and the Ecothon innovation challenge. On the same dates, HORECA Oman will showcase the growing use of AI and digital technologies in hospitality.
The IFN Oman Forum on September 14 will explore Islamic finance, capital markets and digital-asset innovation. Later in the month, the Oman Health Exhibition & Conference, running September 21โ23, will spotlight medical technologies and healthcare digitisation.
The calendar concludes with Tejarah Talks on September 22, focusing on sustainable growth, supply-chain resilience and local sourcing opportunities. Meanwhile, Omanโs flagship technology exhibition COMEX has been moved to February 1โ4, 2027, rather than taking place this September.
