Oman has officially joined the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE), strengthening its participation in the rapidly expanding global hydrogen sector. The country is represented in the partnership by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.

The membership is expected to deepen international cooperation in green hydrogen, while giving Oman greater access to global best practices in policy, regulation, technical standards and safety requirements. It could also help connect Omani hydrogen projects and value chains with international markets.

Oman will also have opportunities to participate in joint research, innovation programmes, pilot projects and international capacity-building initiatives. These activities can support the development of specialised national talent and help attract investment into the country's emerging hydrogen economy.

The IPHE welcomed Oman, highlighting its strong renewable-energy potential, ambitions for low-emission hydrogen and plans for large-scale production and exports. Oman sees the partnership as an important step toward building a competitive global green hydrogen economy aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
