Oman is taking a major step toward responsible and trusted AI by including artificial intelligence in its 2026 national standards programme.

The initiative covers areas such as AI sustainability and data quality, helping strengthen trust, innovation and digital competitiveness while supporting alignment with GCC standards.

With more than 170 Omani experts involved in technical committees, the move reinforces Oman’s ambition to build a strong foundation for its growing digital economy.
