Omanโs trade balance recorded a RO4.7 billion surplus by the end of June 2026, up from RO3.1 billion during the same period in 2025 โ an increase of around 51%.
Merchandise exports rose 15.3% to RO13.2 billion, supported by strong oil and gas exports, which increased 16.5% to RO8.6 billion. Non-oil exports also grew 11.4% to RO3.6 billion, while re-exports climbed 20% to RO978 million.
At the same time, merchandise imports increased only 2.1% to RO8.6 billion, helping Oman widen its trade surplus. The UAE remained the leading destination for Omanโs non-oil exports and the largest source of imports.
The figures highlight the continued strength of Omanโs external trade, while growth in non-oil exports and re-exports signals increasing diversification beyond hydrocarbons.
