Nama Electricity Distribution is investing more than RO20.5 million to upgrade Omanโs electricity network across Al Dakhiliyah, including new substations, 33-kV feeders and expanded infrastructure in Nizwa, Bahla, Izki, Adam and Samail.
What makes the investment significant is the addition of grid automation and smart management systems, designed to improve reliability, reduce network losses and make it easier to integrate renewable energy into Omanโs power network.
The project forms part of Omanโs wider digital infrastructure push, alongside the national smart-meter rollout, creating a stronger foundation for smart cities, industry, renewable energy and future AI infrastructure.
