Oman is planning to transform mango cultivation into a larger agricultural investment and value-creation sector, with a target of reaching around 44,785 tonnes of production by 2030.

Under the 2026โ€“2030 localisation plan, cultivated mango areas are expected to expand from around 3,907 acres to approximately 10,300 acres, while the projected value of production could reach RO 17 million.

The opportunity extends beyond farming, covering seedling production, irrigation, sorting, packaging, cold storage, transportation and food processing. Oman currently imports around 46,211 tonnes of mangoes worth about RO 18.7 million, highlighting the size of the domestic market.
