Oman is looking to strengthen its presence in the Russian market as 16 Omani companies participate in World of Food โ€“ Moscow 2026, one of the regionโ€™s major food and trade exhibitions. The participation aims to promote Omani products, open new export channels and connect local businesses directly with importers, distributors, buyers and investors.
Omanโ€™s Ambassador to Russia highlighted the potential of the Russian market as a gateway to wider Eurasian and Central Asian markets. The exhibition is also giving Omani companies insights into consumer preferences, pricing, packaging and technical requirements, helping them adapt products for international markets.
The opportunity extends beyond food exports, with potential for deeper cooperation in food manufacturing, agriculture, food security, storage, logistics, investment and re-export. The participation also supports Omanโ€™s broader economic diversification and non-oil export ambitions under Oman Vision 2040.
