Oman’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada), in cooperation with the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, is working to strengthen local suppliers and improve SME participation in major supply chains, contracts and procurement activities. The initiative was discussed at a meeting introducing the Supplier Development Business Center in Duqm, with participating companies exploring available opportunities for local businesses.

The initiative also focuses on developing an integrated database of local suppliers and improving SMEs’ technical, administrative and operational capabilities. The programme aims to better match local businesses with the requirements of companies operating in Duqm and support greater local-content participation.
