Oman is opening a major pipeline of procurement opportunities for the private sector, with forthcoming tenders creating potential business opportunities for companies and SMEs across the Sultanate.

Recent figures presented by the Oman Investment Authority show 2,295 forthcoming tenders worth around RO 2.55 billion through the Furas platform alone. Separately, Oman’s Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority has highlighted more than RO 1.5 billion in upcoming government projects, including approved projects and projects under study.

The tender pipeline covers areas including construction, infrastructure, supplies, consulting, telecommunications, information technology, logistics and other services. The authorities are also emphasising greater participation by Omani companies and SMEs and stronger local content
