Omanβs Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology spent more than RO188 million on development projects during the first nine months of 2026, with road infrastructure accounting for 68% of approved development spending. Major projects included the Sultan Faisal bin Turki Road in Musandam, the AdamβThumrait dual carriageway and the Al Mughsail Bridge project, alongside spending on climate-related road repairs, airport projects and other development initiatives. The ministry is also advancing digital financial procedures and resource-management measures to improve the efficiency of development spending.
