𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞

Oman has officially inaugurated the Midad Digital Centre at Innovation Park Muscat, marking a new step in strengthening the country’s digital innovation ecosystem. The centre will focus on knowledge transfer, capacity building and emerging technologies including 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence.

The centre is designed to develop national digital capabilities and connect government, academia and industry. Its programmes include practical learning in robotics, electronics, creative programming and application development, with Omani youth placed at the centre of its skills-development efforts.

The initiative is supported through partnerships involving the Research and Innovation Authority, Ministry of Finance, Ericsson, Omantel and Ibn Firnas Academy, with the broader objective of supporting Oman’s transition towards a knowledge- and innovation-driven digital economy.
