Oman’s space economy is expanding rapidly, with the number of space-sector companies rising from 11 in 2023 to 26 by the end of 2025, while private investment reached RO74 million. At the same time, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has begun drafting Oman’s first dedicated Space Law, aimed at establishing a clearer regulatory framework for the sector. The developments come alongside initiatives such as the Oman Space Accelerator Programme and major projects including OmanSat-1 and the Etlaq spaceport at Duqm.
