Google is taking a cautious approach to its latest frontier AI system, Gemini 4 Argon, temporarily withholding it from public release and making it available only to a vetted group of cybersecurity experts. According to NDTV/AFP, Google says the phased rollout is intended to gather feedback and reduce the risk of misuse, particularly because the model has advanced capabilities in software engineering and cybersecurity, including identifying and fixing critical software vulnerabilities. Google is also providing the US government with early access while testing safeguards designed to prevent harmful cyber and other high-risk uses.
