Muscat Municipality has signed an agreement with AZ Engineers and Partners to implement the Al Salam Street Upgrade Project in AβSeeb, targeting two high-traffic junctions to improve road capacity, traffic flow and safety. The project includes tunnels with two lanes in each direction, provision for future third lanes, two-lane overpasses and upgraded connecting roads at the Industrial Roundabout junction with Al E'mar Street, as well as a second tunnel and overpasses at the Al Khair Street traffic-light intersection. The municipality said the project is intended to reduce congestion and stopping times while supporting Muscatβs continued urban growth and rising traffic volumes.
