Oman’s Duqm spaceport has completed its second successful rocket launch, with the 4.3-metre, 26-kilogram Azad Dreamer carrying out a controlled test flight under the Karman X1 mission. The flight transmitted data to mission control and evaluated launch procedures, flight performance, onboard technologies and systems rather than attempting to reach space. The mission, involving Oman-based Stellar Kinetics MCT, Singapore’s OculloSpace and Australia’s Orbit2Orbit, is part of the Formation programme and is intended to strengthen Omani launch expertise, deepen international partnerships and advance the country’s commercial space capabilities.
