Asyad Drydock, a subsidiary of Asyad Group, completed 130 projects and attracted 56 new international clients during the first eight months of 2026, taking its commercial client base to around 900 worldwide. The completed work included 119 vessel repair and maintenance projects and 11 industrial projects, while around 40% of the new clients came from the Middle East and Far East. The company also set new operational records, including 10 double-berthing maintenance operations and simultaneous repair work on 27 vessels. Its floating dock handled 13 vessels by the end of August, compared with two during the same period in 2025, while Asyad Drydock awarded RO 6.5 million in contracts and purchase orders to SMEs and RO 12.5 million to local companies, with local awards representing 81% of total contract value. These developments further reinforce Duqm’s growing role as an international maritime services and shipbuilding hub
