Omanβs Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has signed a series of agreements aimed at expanding the countryβs aviation services and strengthening airports as integrated economic hubs. The agreements cover aircraft maintenance and MRO services, airport operations and development, aviation training, and wider industry cooperation. CAA signed an agreement with Indonesia-based GMF AeroAsia for the operation and management of aircraft maintenance facilities at Muscat International Airport, supporting heavy maintenance, knowledge transfer and specialised employment opportunities. A separate concession agreement with Oman Airports covers the operation, management and development of Muscat, Salalah and Sohar airports, while Oman Aviation Academy signed a training cooperation agreement with the Arab Aviation Academy. GMF AeroAsia also signed an MoU with MRO International covering aircraft maintenance, wheels and brakes, and training.
