Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has celebrated the graduation of 366 Omani job seekers from the 21st batch of its Emdad programme in Muscat. Delivered in partnership with the Oman Energy Association (OPAL) and private-sector contracting companies, the programme combines specialised theoretical training with practical workplace experience across disciplines including HSE, planning engineering, lifting equipment inspection, drilling fluids, electrical technology, explosion protection and crane operations. Importantly, all 366 graduates have joined employment across 54 companies, highlighting the programmeโ€™s direct link between skills development and job creation. PDO said its wider in-country value programme has generated more than RO7 billion in direct economic value over the past decade and contributed to more than 17,500 job opportunities for Omanis.
