Oman and Kazakhstan are deepening cooperation in renewable energy, with O-Green and Kazakhstanβs Samruk-Energy signing a strategic agreement targeting approximately 2 GW of solar and wind projects, supported by battery energy storage systems. The projects are expected to focus on Kazakhstan, Central Asia and other international markets of mutual interest, with the partnership aimed at meeting growing electricity demand while supporting more sustainable and reliable energy supplies. The agreement forms part of a broader package of Oman-Kazakhstan economic cooperation that also includes a US$150 million joint investment fund, oil and gas opportunities, tourism and mineral exploration.
