Oman and other GCC stakeholders are moving towards a joint digital logistics market aimed at improving trade efficiency, strengthening connectivity and building a more integrated regional logistics network. The proposal emerged from the 15th Consultative Meeting of GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry and Presidents of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Manama. Discussions also covered the competitiveness of factories in free zones, SME access to finance, rising container and transport costs, marine insurance pressures and the need to strengthen supply-chain resilience amid changing regional conditions. The proposed digital market reflects wider GCC efforts to reduce barriers, improve coordination and create a more competitive and resilient business environment across the Gulf.
