Omanโs Ministry of Labour is working to streamline the private training sector, improve investment opportunities and align training programmes more closely with labour-market requirements. The initiative includes preparing a risk register for investment in private training institutions and identifying training fields with strong investment potential in coordination with employment governance committees. Oman currently has 62 licensed private training institutions offering 819 accredited programmes and employing 637 accredited personnel. The Ministry is also strengthening quality assurance, classification, supervision and compliance, with particular emphasis on vocational, technical and professional training. The objective is to equip Omani talent with relevant technical, professional and technological skills, improve workforce readiness and support the competitiveness of the national economy.
