Duqmโ€™s expanding industrial and logistics ecosystem is creating opportunities not only for major international investors but also for Omani suppliers, SMEs and service providers. The upcoming โ€œDuqm Opensโ€ session of the Duqm Now forum, scheduled for 4 November at Crowne Plaza Hotel Duqm, will bring together OQ8 CEO Abdullah Al Ajmi and Invest Omanโ€™s Head of Business Development and International Markets, Ulla Ali, to examine the practical realities of establishing and operating businesses in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD).

With committed investment in SEZAD reaching approximately RO 8.8 billion by June 2026, the discussion will focus on operating costs, infrastructure readiness, export logistics, access to international customers and how local companies can qualify to supply major industrial projects. For Omani businesses, understanding procurement requirements and preparing the right capabilities can be essential to converting the regionโ€™s investment momentum into sustainable commercial growth. Strengthening connections between established investors and local enterprises will be key to maximising Duqmโ€™s contribution to economic diversification and Oman Vision 2040.
