Omanβs economic partnership with the United Kingdom is set to gain fresh momentum as HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, accompanies His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the UK state visit beginning 19 October 2026. This marks his first visit alongside His Majesty since his appointment to the economic affairs portfolio. The visit comes at an important time for bilateral relations, with opportunities to deepen cooperation in investment, financial services, clean energy, technology and economic diversification. As Chairman of the Board of the International Financial Centre of Oman, Sayyid Theyazin also brings a strategic focus on attracting international capital, strengthening the business environment and positioning Oman as a competitive destination for global financial services. Translating diplomatic engagement into practical investment partnerships, technology exchange and sustainable business projects will be key to advancing shared economic priorities and supporting Oman Vision 2040.
