Oman is strengthening its commitment to womenβs participation in sport through a new drive to identify, train and develop female shooting talent capable of competing at regional and international levels. The Oman Womenβs Shooting Championship 2026, running until October 24, provides a platform for participants to improve their skills, gain competitive experience and demonstrate precision, concentration and discipline. According to Muscat Daily, the initiative places emphasis on early talent identification, structured training programmes, qualified coaches, appropriate facilities and greater opportunities for competition. Organisers also plan to expand participation gradually and introduce more orientation and training opportunities for beginners. With sustained investment in coaching, equipment and athlete development, Oman aims to build a stronger pathway for women in shooting sports and nurture the next generation of competitive athletes.
