Oman continues to strengthen local employment and workforce development, with Nama Dhofar Services, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), conducting recruitment examinations for 200 job opportunities in the electricity, water and sanitation sectors.

The initiative forms part of the companyโ€™s ongoing Omanisation programme, which aims to create 667 employment opportunities during 2026 through companies contracted to operate and maintain essential public services.

The first phase covered 467 opportunities, with successful candidates nearing completion of their training programmes. The second phase includes 200 additional positions. While assessments for bachelorโ€™s degree holders have been completed, examinations are being conducted for more than 2,000 General Education Diploma holders, alongside the evaluation of applications from post-secondary diploma holders.

This initiative highlights the importance of investing in Omani talent, developing technical skills and building sustainable career pathways in essential infrastructure sectors. Strengthening local capabilities in electricity, water and sanitation will remain vital to Omanโ€™s long-term economic development.
