Participants of the 25th Forum of the History and Archaeology Society of the GCC Countries have expressed their appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for Omanโ€™s warm hospitality during the event.

Held in Salalah from August 23โ€“26, the forum brought together specialists and participants with a shared interest in the history, archaeology and cultural heritage of the GCC region.

Participants highlighted Dhofarโ€™s rich historical and cultural heritage, distinctive natural beauty and growing development across tourism and economic sectors. The forum also provided an opportunity to showcase the governorateโ€™s potential as an important cultural and tourism destination.

The gathering reinforced the importance of regional cooperation in preserving, documenting and promoting Gulf history and heritage, while strengthening cultural connections among GCC countries.
