Apple is reportedly preparing its first AI-powered smart glasses, with the product potentially launching in 2027 as the company expands Siri and AI into everyday life.

Unlike augmented-reality glasses, the first-generation device is expected to have no display. Instead, cameras, microphones and speakers would allow users to interact with Siri, understand their surroundings, translate signs and receive contextual information.

The glasses could also let users save visual information and ask Siri to remind them about it later, while functioning partly like open-ear headphones. Apple is reportedly developing several frame styles and finishes in-house.

Health capabilities may come in a later generation, potentially including heart-rate monitoring and fitness-related features.

Reports suggest Apple could introduce the glasses at WWDC 2027, with commercial availability later that year.
