The new logistics corridor linking Oman and Sharjah handled more than RO 178 million worth of goods during its first three months of operation, highlighting growing cross-border trade activity. Between May 17 and August 17, the corridor processed more than 32,000 customs declarations and facilitated over 34,000 truck movements. The value of goods increased by 66.26% compared with the same period last year.

The corridor connects Sharjah’s ports and logistics network with Oman through the Khatmat Malaha and Al Madam border crossings, providing links to Oman’s Sohar, Duqm and Salalah ports. More than 200 new importer codes were registered during the period, while integrated customs procedures and other facilitation measures are designed to reduce transit times and operating costs
