A new study in Oman highlights the growing role of technology in strengthening the countryโs food supply chains, examining how food traceability, information technology, regulatory compliance, risk management, data accuracy, collaboration and predictive analytics can improve supply-chain performance. The research found that technology-enabled traceability, stronger collaboration and better supply-chain visibility can support food safety and risk management, while predictive analytics can help identify potential risks earlier. The study recommends greater adoption of integrated technologies including IoT, blockchain, AI, data analytics and connected digital records to build more resilient, sustainable and efficient food supply chains in Oman.
