Oman has formalised its membership in the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) through Royal Decree 86/2026, issued on 21 September 2026. The decree ratifies the DCO Charter and directs the competent authorities to deposit Omanβs instrument of ratification, converting the countryβs existing DCO commitment into a formal legal framework under Omani law. Oman has been a founding DCO member since 2021, and the ratification strengthens its formal participation in a platform focused on digital economy governance, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, data flows and digital trade.
