Strengthening local manufacturing capacity is essential to meeting Omanโ€™s growing energy and infrastructure requirements while creating skilled employment and building industrial competitiveness. Oman Cables Industry has broken ground on Plant 3 at Al Rusayl Industrial City, with an investment exceeding RO 10 million. The project forms part of the companyโ€™s broader strategic investment programme of more than RO 15 million in recent years. The new facility is designed to introduce advanced manufacturing capabilities, including a 42-metre cable production tower, digital manufacturing systems, AI-powered predictive maintenance and AI-driven quality and safety monitoring. It will also support the development of Omani technical and leadership talent, with more than 60 employment opportunities expected. By combining smart manufacturing, operational efficiency and workforce development, the project aims to strengthen Omanโ€™s ability to serve increasingly sophisticated energy and infrastructure markets while supporting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
