Omanโ€™s maritime and capital markets are entering another important phase as Asyad Group proposes to sell up to 6.25% of Asyad Shipping Companyโ€™s issued share capital through an additional public offering. The proposed transaction comprises a 5% institutional tranche and a retail tranche of up to 1.25%, with the objective of increasing Asyad Shippingโ€™s free float to above 25% in line with the Financial Services Authorityโ€™s minimum requirement. Importantly, this is a sale of existing shares held by Asyad Group, so the proceeds will go to the selling shareholder rather than raising fresh capital for Asyad Shipping. The institutional bookbuilding process is scheduled to close on 22 October, with final pricing and allocations expected on 26 October, subject to regulatory approval. Settlement and listing of the institutional tranche are expected on 4 November 2026. The move comes as Asyad Shipping reports stronger earnings and pursues fleet expansion, reinforcing Omanโ€™s efforts to deepen its capital markets while supporting the growth of its globally connected logistics sector.
