The “Rural Dhofar 2026” exhibition kicks off today at Ittin Square in Dhofar, as part of the Khareef Dhofar Season.
Organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar, in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Dhofar and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the exhibition focuses on economic empowerment of rural women and promoting Omani products.
More than 60 female entrepreneurs and productive families from across Oman are participating, showcasing agricultural and fisheries products, food products, honey, dates and natural-material cosmetics.
Running until 15 August 2026, the exhibition aims to:
Strengthen direct marketing opportunities for rural products
Increase income for productive families
Support Omani SMEs
Promote local products in domestic markets
Highlight the role of rural women in food security and sustainable economic development
