general • Aug 10, 2026
Dhofar International Development and Investment Company (DIDIC) has reported a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026, posting a net profit after tax of RO 17.404 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026.

This marks DIDIC’s first full half-year financial results following its merger with Oman Investment and Finance Company (OIFC), which became effective in July 2025. The company also recorded RO 24.097 million in total comprehensive income attributable to shareholders, compared with RO 4.650 million during the same period a year earlier.

The Group closed the period with total assets of RO 589.506 million and shareholders’ equity of RO 151.64 million, while basic earnings per share increased to RO 0.034 from RO 0.013. Following the merger, DIDIC now manages nine subsidiaries and six associates, strengthening its diversified investment portfolio.

Performance across key investments also remained positive. Bank Dhofar increased its net profit by 15.2% to RO 27.26 million, while Sohar International reported a 15% increase in profit to RO 53 million. Dhofar Insurance recorded a particularly strong 55% rise in net profit to RO 4.038 million, while Dhofar Foods and Investment increased its profit to RO 2.481 million.

The results highlight the growing scale of DIDIC following the OIFC merger and demonstrate the potential benefits of a broader, diversified investment portfolio across banking, insurance, food and other strategic sectors.
