Future Fund Oman Investment in Solar Project to Create 1,526 Jobs

Future Fund Oman has invested in Orion Solar, a renewable energy project expected to generate more than RO 35 million in local content and create approximately 1,526 direct and indirect jobs.

The project is expected to strengthen Oman’s renewable energy ecosystem, increase local economic value and support the development of national capabilities in the solar energy sector.

Beyond clean energy generation, the investment highlights the growing role of local content, private-sector participation and job creation in Oman’s economic diversification strategy.

The initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040, supporting renewable energy development, sustainable economic growth and the creation of new opportunities for Omani talent.
