IT/OT Convergence Brings Industrial Security Into ServiceNow

Industrial cybersecurity is moving toward a more integrated model as CoreX and Alchemy Global Networks partner to combine operational technology (OT) security with enterprise workflows and identity governance through ServiceNow.

The solution brings together OT asset visibility, access governance, risk management and remediation in a common workflow environment. It uses asset intelligence from Armis and identity governance capabilities from Veza alongside ServiceNow's AI Control Tower.

The approach is particularly relevant for industries operating connected environments, including manufacturing, energy, utilities, healthcare and retail. Industrial organisations increasingly need visibility not only into traditional IT systems, but also connected machinery, IoT devices, industrial equipment and machine identities.

A key development is the ability to connect what assets exist with who or what can access them. This includes human users as well as non-human identities such as machines and AI agents, helping organisations strengthen governance and apply more effective least-privilege controls.

The move reflects a broader industry trend: IT and OT environments are becoming increasingly interconnected, making separate security processes harder to manage. Bringing OT visibility into enterprise security workflows could help organisations identify risks faster and coordinate remediation more effectively.
