Powered by the new Muse Spark 1.1 model, the assistant is designed to understand context and automate recurring workflows.
The upgraded Meta AI can generate daily briefings from calendar events, schedule recurring tasks such as weekly meal plans or trend updates, conduct deeper research, and assist with planning and project organization. Meta is initially rolling out these capabilities through the Meta AI app and the web, with broader expansion—including WhatsApp—planned over time.
This marks a significant shift in the AI race—from chatbots that respond to AI assistants that act. As competition intensifies among Meta, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and others, the future of AI is increasingly centered on intelligent agents that save time by automating everyday work.
