The Omani government has officially launched its Digital Economy Strategy 2026-2030, setting ambitious targets for technology-led growth. The strategy aims to increase the technology sector's contribution to GDP from the current 7% to 15% by 2030. Key initiatives include establishing a national AI center, expanding 5G infrastructure, creating technology free zones, and attracting global technology companies to set up regional headquarters in Oman.
