Oman is strengthening its commitment to integrity, transparency and good governance in sports, presenting its sports-sector anti-corruption framework at the 42nd GCC Anti-Corruption Experts Committee meeting held virtually on August 11–12, 2026.
The framework examines sports governance, corruption prevention mechanisms, integrity values and practical applications, while offering recommendations to strengthen accountability across the sector.
The GCC meeting is also addressing regional cooperation, the Joint GCC Anti-Corruption Strategy, integrity research initiatives and preparations for upcoming GCC anti-corruption events.
The initiative highlights Oman’s focus on building a transparent, accountable and well-governed sports ecosystem, supporting wider national objectives for institutional excellence.
