Oman is expanding its industrial infrastructure with plans to develop four new industrial cities in Al Mudhaibi, Al Suwaiq, Thumrait and Madha.
The new industrial cities are designed to accommodate diverse industrial activities, strengthen local manufacturing and create additional employment opportunities for Omani youth.
The development comes as Oman continues to attract major investment into its economic, free and industrial zones. In 2025, these zones attracted more than RO 1.4 billion in new investments, taking total committed investment to RO 22.4 billion.
The projects are part of Oman’s wider drive to build a more competitive industrial ecosystem, increase local value creation and accelerate economic diversification under Oman Vision 2040.
