Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) is preparing to welcome its 41st cohort for the 2026/2027 academic year, with 963 applicants currently undergoing ability assessments for selected programmes.
The assessments cover Art Education, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Music and Musicology, Architectural Engineering, as well as a dedicated programme for students with disabilities.
The assessments will continue until 12 August, with the new cohort scheduled to be welcomed at SQU on 30 August 2026. An orientation programme will then introduce students to university life, campus facilities and academic requirements.
The initiative reflects SQU’s continued focus on identifying talent, supporting diverse abilities and preparing young Omanis for higher education and future careers.
